Class Description: Participants will learn the essential elements of crafting a compelling short story including character development, structure and plot. Highlights include: Show vs Tell, Story Arc, and Creating Engaging Content.
Instructor Bio: Cynthia Elomaa is a children’s author, freelance editor, member of the Association of Rhode Island Authors, and mentor. She has helped many writers in their literary journey. She runs literary creative writing workshops for high school students through adults, and has ghostwritten articles for website content and social media marketing purposes. In January 2024 the first book in her Nicky picture book series, Nicky’s Very Messy Room was published. Cynthia has also created educational worksheets to assist parents and teachers in the classroom to accompany her Nicky picture book series.
